A WALK THROUGH TIME...HISTORY TIMELINE
Since its founding as an independent agency in 1979, Metro Brokers has been a leader and an innovator in the way real estate is sold in the metro Atlanta area.
Founder John Hartrampf was one of the first brokers in the country to establish a centralized broker support system. With centralized broker support, all broker support services such as call routing, contract processing, legal counsel, and marketing supplies are provided from the headquarters office.
The operating efficiencies of this system allow us to provide the same full service as other traditional brokerage companies without the redundant layers of management in each branch office. As a result of this unique system, we are able to return more commission dollars to our associates – up to 98 percent in some cases – while still providing the broker support our associates need to be successful in today’s full service real estate market. It’s why we’re able to attract and retain the best real estate agents in the business today.
In 1997, Metro Brokers became an affiliate in the Better Homes and Gardens network, and when the network was purchased by GMAC Home Services, we became Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate in 2001.
